Church Profile
First Christian Praise Chapel is located in Rupert, Idaho, which is in southern Idaho’s Magic Valley. We are an elder-led, non-denominational church with a unique history that God has richly blessed. The people in our church are warm and welcoming, and we are seeking the pastor whom God has chosen to lead us.
The area has a population of around 40,000. We have many opportunities for outdoor recreation right in our backyard. If you are someone who enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, snowmobiling, camping, hiking, and golfing, this is a great place to live. It is only a short drive to areas such as Boise, Salt Lake City, Pocatello, Twin Falls, Sun Valley, Yellowstone Park, and many others.

Senior Pastor job description:
Meet requirements of 1 Tim 3:1-7
Prayerful dependence upon Jesus Christ in shepherding God’s flock, with a heart for equipping current dedicated staff for effective ministry.
Skilled and gifted communicator in preaching and teaching
Ability to connect with broad range of age demographics of church family
Takes initiative
Goal oriented
Pro-active rather than re-active
Ability to work with elder board in planning, direction setting, and establishing accountability measures, etc.
Purposeful involvement in community
Pastor and spouse are ministry team
Life experiences which contribute to a “well-rounded” character with the ability to relate to individuals from a variety of societal, cultural, and economic backgrounds
Intentions of long-term pastorate
A person of integrity
A person who does not have “undealt-with” issues that could disqualify him for ministry, or could embarrass the church if discovered
A team player
Willing to embrace and lead current dedicated staff of First Christian Praise Chapel
Views community as a mission field
