Worship Pastor/Student Pastor

First Baptist Church New Lebanon (FBCnl) is 52 years old but has recently experienced rapid growth, vision, excitement, and passion to reach the unchurched with the gospel. God is doing some incredible things and we're excited about what's ahead.


Primary Responsibilities for Worship Pastor

1. Identify, invite, train, and empower leaders to be a part of the worship ministry.
2. Serve as a primary worship leader for the church.
3. Maintain a schedule of musicians and oversee their development as players and leaders.
4. Lead weekly rehearsals for band members.
5. In conjunction with the Lead Pastor, create the weekly program to ensure that the whole service communicates one message. 6. Oversee the tech team, including sound, lights and video.
7. Participate in staff meetings, creative meetings, and leadership retreats to provide evaluation and feedback to the Lead Team. 8. Communicate with other worship pastors and watch other church services to gain insight and develop ways to improve the effectiveness of the worship experience.
9. Create and print the order of service.

Primary Responsibilities for Student Pastor

1. Identify, invite, train, and empower leaders to be a part of the Student Ministry.
2. Serve as a primary student leader and communicator.
3. During the week, invest in the lives of students building relationships with them in the most effective way possible.
4. Schedule, book and follow up with supplemental student communicators in your absence.
5. Oversee the setup of Revolution, including sound, lights and video through volunteers.
6. Act as the primary organizer of student small groups for Middle and High School students.
7. Meet with key volunteers on a regular basis to evaluate Revolution and small groups.
8. Schedule regular creative brainstorming meeting to gather input and ideas from various individuals about an upcoming Revolution services or small groups.
9. Participate in staff meetings, creative meetings, and leadership retreats to provide evaluation and feedback to the Lead Team.
10. Communicate with student pastors and watch other student services to gain insight and develop ways to improve the effectiveness of the worship experience.

This position is currently a combo position but could turn into a full time worship or student pastor position.
