Longview Community Church is seeking to fill the full-time position of Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation and Congregational Life.

The vision of our fellowship is to develop in each of us a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to develop and strengthen a deepening trust in our Lord; and to be open to the Holy Spirit as he leads us to reach out in loving ways to people in our church, community, and the world around us.
Located approximately an hour north of Portland, OR in Longview, Washington, we are a non-denominational congregation of approximately 400 members. The purpose of this position is to minister to and provide leadership for members and families of the church and the community, working with the ministry teams of the church to equip and enable our congregation to move into the future.
Primary responsibilities include:
Develop our Adult Education and Spiritual Formation Ministries.
Actively participate in Congregational Life areas. These include Small Group Ministries, Women’s and Men’s Ministry, and Community Life Fellowship Meals and events.
Actively participate in Pastoral Care. These include Hospital Visitation, Memorial Committee, Seniors’ Ministry, and Lay Counseling.
Work closely with the Board of Deacons.
Provide specific pastoral duties as needed and/or requested by Senior Pastor. These include but are not limited to conducting funerals, marriage services and pre-marital counseling, conducting baptisms and dedications upon request of parents or Senior Pastor, and participate in worship leadership.
Provide Pastoral support to the Children’s Ministry Director.
The Associate Pastor is encouraged to participate in the local Ministerial Association and is free and encouraged to participate in denominational activities.
