This is a 40-hour per week position that is responsible for the Middle
School aspect of Student Ministries. Under the leadership of the Student
Pastor, the Middle School Pastor would be responsible for planning,
facilitating and evaluating the following ministry programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Participate in
• Call students one day prior to remind them of a campus ministry visit
• Encourage, communicate with, and provide resources to the parents of our teenagers
• Coordinate with pastor various outreach events such as lock-ins, game nights, concerts, camp, etc.
• Coordinate big events for Middle School under the leadership and direction of the Student Pastor of Hoffmantown Student Ministries
• First time visitors
• Students who have made decisions marked on response cards
• Regular students who have not been seen for two weeks or more
Develop purposeful and intentional discipleship relationships with students.
Prepare Pro Presenter and Keynote for student ministry services
Collect/purchase videos that enhance message for service
Keep students up to date with HOFFMANTOWN by sending out weekly emails
Keep the HOFFMANTOWN MySpace and facebook current and up to date
Emcee student services
Plan and prepare games for student services
Teach Middle School at Middle School services
Coordinate worship for student services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
In pursuit of higher education and professional development.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to today's youth culture. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from youth, parents, staff or congregation.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The successful candidate must be a Christian and fully support the philosophy of Hoffmantown Church and its leadership team. This individual's commitment to Christ will be evidenced in his personal life, family relationships, and ministry. His daily walk with God will be an example to the students with which he interacts.
Must understand the maturity levels and characteristics of teens and the challenges they face today.
The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently.
Must possess solid time management skills and organizational abilities. The ability to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems is important.
The ideal candidate should be creative, have a passion and heartfelt concern for teens, be high energy, hard working, and possess the ability to motivate others.
