The purpose of Manager of Facilities is to manage the facilities of the church, including all buildings (approx. 120,000 sf.); furniture and fixtures; equipment; facility use; grounds (approx. 18 acres); and event scheduling. He/she is responsible for protecting the church’s investment, ensuring it is ready to support all areas of ministry, administration, and outside use; and, ensuring the facilities are used appropriately and according to policy. He/she does this in conjunction with the vision and policies set by the Elder Board and works closely with the Aesthetics Committee. The Manager of Facilities’ goal is to provide facilities that meet the needs of our ministries so that First Evangelical Free Church (FEFC) is positioned to produce a growing number of disciples, transformed by God, who live to transform their world
The Manager of Facilities shall have at least three (3) years management experience in Facilities Management and have an enthusiasm for ministering to the church body. He/she shall have the ability to work on a team towards specific goals in a mutually edifying and supportive manner. He/she shall have a teachable and open attitude. He/she must embrace FEFC’s guiding principles and values. He/she must be a member of FEFC and agree with the Evangelical Free Church of America’s doctrinal statement. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Facility Manager (CFM) certifications preferred.
