Job Description:

This position exists to provide leadership, subject matter expertise, and coaching to the staff allowing them to exceed goals and objectives in fulfillment of the vision, mission and values of All Shores. Champions the staff culture and staff development. Develops strategic and tactical plans for exceeding objectives in a multi-campus structure.

 

The staff culture is characterized by a growing reliance on the Holy Spirit by abiding with Christ and seeking God’s presence and reading the Word; being authentic and working collaboratively with staff members; seeking and giving feedback to help one another improve; and, having a passion for learning and growing.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; pastoral licensure or ordination preferred.
  • 10 or more years’ experience in church leadership with pastoral roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and a track record of execution effectiveness.
  • Strong self-starter with drive and passion for the mission.
  • Willing to submit to church leadership and mutually with peers.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Excellent relational and communication skills; high emotional intelligence.
  • Willing to be transparent and authentic.
  • Willing to be coached and receive input and feedback from church leadership and peers. Maintains a teachable spirit.
  • Strong financial stewardship and management skills.

 

The ideal individual will enjoy leading in a team structure while serving as a trusted confidant of the Lead Pastor. They have a passion for spiritual and leadership development. They have a strong desire to reach others for Christ and develop disciples who make disciples.

 

The responsibilities include:

 

  • Champions effective multi-campus staff culture, develops successful working relationships and model’s servant leadership.
  • Provides leadership for strategic planning sessions; assists the Lead Pastor with the design and frequency of meetings. Responsible for follow up and action items from the meetings to ensure execution.
  • Develops and implements staff goal achievement and execution systems; assists Leadership Team to develop team and individual ministry goals; evaluates, reviews and coaches staff to perform at effective levels when under-performing; celebrates staff successes.
  • Coaches, develops and enables staff to be effective leaders to their staff and volunteers. 

 

  • Provides leadership to meetings, retreats and staff events in conjunction with Lead Pastor.
  • Examines and recommends church growth initiatives to ensure long-term health of the church; executes initiatives through the Leadership Team; evaluates effectiveness and adjusts as needed to achieve results; celebrates successes.
  • Stewards the resources of the church through effective budget development and management.
  • Facilitates and promotes a vibrant, healthy staff culture through learning, collaboration, trust, integrity, loyalty and commitment to excellence.
  • Recruits, recommends and hires staff both based on immediate and long-term needs.
  • Maintains a growing and deepening relationship and intimacy with Jesus Christ through personal devotions and participation in worship services, growth groups, serving, Bible reading and generous living and giving.
  • Committed to and models the use of feedback and evaluation systems to improve personal and staff effectiveness.
  • Shepherds the paid and volunteer staff.
  • Serves “on call” as scheduled.
  • Participates in worship services, care responsibilities, weddings, funerals and other duties assigned by Lead Pastor.
  • Participates in district and/or denominational events.
