Job Description:

 

A Video Coordinator is responsible for managing video projects at Preston Trail. This individual will capture & tell stories through video that will show during weekend services, ministry events, and on social media. The Video Director will be responsible for leading teams that shoot and edit videos for Preston Trail. Collaboration, flexibility and self- leadership are all expectations for a video coordinator. This is a full time position and pay will be commensurate with experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must have a heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus, and a passion to help others find and follow him
  2. Must demonstrate a proven ability to oversee projects from beginning to end
  3. Must be creative and organized with a strong attention to detail & accuracy
  4. Must be naturally relational and able to help people share their stories
  5. Must have a strong eye for cinematography and composition
  6. Must possess a strong sense of story and narrative
  7. Experience in storyboarding and idea conception
  8. Must be able to work with the teaching team and each ministry area to develop videos
  9. Must be committed to improvement and seek constructive criticism
  10. Ability to lead, problem solve, and tell a story effectively
  11. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  12. Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent editing software)
  13. Must be proficient in using cameras & lighting
 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

College degree preferred

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  1. Collaborate with Editorial Team to write the script for each video
  2. Shoot and edit videos
  3. Maintain quality of video equipment and foresee the future needs of obtaining and upgrading gear
  4. Catalog and maintain video archive
  5. Assist the other Video Team members by giving appropriate and timely feedback on projects
  6. Must be aware of the ever-changing world of video production. Pays attention to the work of leading churches and creative agencies are producing
  7. Regularly communicate with Creative Arts Pastor and Video Producer on project progress and other key updates
  8. Work closely with pastors, ministry leaders and other volunteers as required in order to execute/deliver excellent video assets
  9. Coach and equip volunteers that serve in the Video Department
  10. Learn and grow in knowledge of craft and creativity

  • Work with: Creative Team, Communications and Worship teams
  • Report and review by: Worship Pastor and Video Director
