Job Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time Lead Pastor who is a dedicated preacher, learner, and teacher of God's Word equipping the body of Christ to be mature and complete. A spiritual leader who loves God and His people. An outstanding communicator, shepherd, and visionary who will oversee the life and direction of the church along with and under the guidance of our Church Leadership (Elder Board and key Staff). 

 

About CBC:

CBC is a multicultural, multiethnic and multigenerational Evangelical Free Church. We have two Sunday morning services with contemporary music and engaging worship. We have an energetic Children's program, active men's and women's ministry, dynamic youth along with vibrant small groups. 

 

Geographically, CBC is located at the north end of San Bernardino nestled up against the lake arrowhead mountains.

 

Organizationally, CBC currently employs a full-time Lead Pastor, a full-time Worship Pastor, full-time Children's Director/Office Administrator along with a part-time sound engineer, Early Childhood Director, graphic designer, video engineer and grounds/maintenance.

Responsibilities:

To be of irreproachable Christian Character, having a good report (1 Timothy 3:1-3; Titus 1:1-9).

To be an example to the believers in his personal, family, and public life. (1 Timothy 3:1-13)

Will be a member of the Elder Board.

Will have direct supervision over the ministry staff.

 

Qualifications: 

Meet biblical qualifications of a Pastor found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university, college, or seminary. 

Have a willingness to make a long-term commitment, as God leads, to our church and community, for at least 10 years.

 

Experience:
Lead Pastor or Associate Pastor of a church congregation with 5-10 years experience preferred.
Experience in a multi-staff setting supervising other leaders.
