- Cornerstone Family Ministries is a Christian Non-profit organization that provides programs geared toward meeting practical and spiritual needs for youth and their families in underserved areas of Houston. We engage local churches to connect to the mission and ministry needed by way of volunteers, and resources.  Working together as the body of Jesus Christ we seek to introduce all individuals to Him so that they will grow in faith, find a church home, and begin the process of creating and restoring right relationships. - Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Program Recruiter will be responsible for the recruiting and developmental success of Cornerstone Family Ministries at a particular site ensuring student attendance and participation.

- This position is for 10 hours per week at $20 per hour. Weekly hours will be determined by Director of Programs upon hire.


 I.Program Development:

  1. Works with the Director of Programs to communicate program events to students.
  2. Interface with Director of Programs to understand, communicate and follow calendar year.
  3. Create and develop promotional materials for programs.
  4. Promote program activities and deliver promotional materials at apartment complexes, door to door, schools, and special events.

 II.Student Recruiting

  1. Meet with Director of Programs for a monthly meeting to assess recruiting needs and concerns.
  2. Meet with Community partners to promote Cornerstone programs to their student population.
  3. Use avenues of social media, call, and text weekly to promote programs.

 III.Volunteer Recruiting

  1. Work with Director of Programs to know & encourage site-specific volunteers.
  2. Work with Director of Programs to develop volunteer appreciation gifts and events.
  3. Evaluate volunteer needs & develop recruiting plan for bringing in new volunteers.
  4. Execute year-end volunteer assessment for specific site.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with various ages.
  • Strength in coaching and retaining volunteers and students.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexible work hours including some evenings during the school week and occassional weekends.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required.
  • Evidenced relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Cornerstone Family Ministries mission and vision.
