Who We Are:

Planted in 2003, Mosaic is a church in urban Portland, Oregon with a vision to make disciples, plant churches, and develop the next generation of leaders. We see ourselves as people seeking to follow Jesus in authentic community for the world. We dream of contributing to a disciple-making movement in our post-Christian, secular, growing city that will result in people coming to faith in Jesus and new churches forming. We have planted six churches and currently meet in three gatherings on Sundays in two locations - in the Hollywood District in Northeast and in the Kenton neighborhood in North Portland.

Portland is rapidly growing, drawing young professionals, aspiring artists, and career baristas. Spread throughout its diverse neighborhoods are also young families and empty nesters. Mosaic reflects our city – people of various ages and walks of life find a home here. We place a high value on knowing Jesus, healthy relationships, and giving ourselves to a broken world.

We are looking for a leader to creatively plan, passionately lead, and carefully oversee our Sunday gatherings. While distinctively modern in style we also value the creative use of liturgy and various musical genres to lead people into a meaningful experience with God.

This is a full-time, pastoral role.

We Are Looking for a Leader Who:

  • Loves Jesus and naturally leads from a place of joy and celebration.

  • Is hungry to lead, learn, and grow.

  • Is an initiator/activator who has a track record of recruiting and pursuing leaders and volunteers.

  • Understands room dynamics and has the ability to lead people to Jesus from the platform.

  • Is an excellent musician with a musical style that will resonate with Portland.

  • Has a high value and ‘eye’ for artistry and aesthetics.

  • Is competent in skills necessary for oversight of sound and video teams.

  • Can identify and develop other worship leaders to lead bands. We currently have six bands

made up of volunteers who rotate leading our three Sunday Gatherings in two locations.

  • Desires to join a staff team that is committed to living on mission in their own neighborhoods,

    while teaming together for Mosaic.
