Generations Worship Leader or Pastor



This position is full time with benefits.

The work days for this position: Sunday through Thursdays including service times.



Position Summary:  This person must have a heart for the Next Generation. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all the details and organization required to provide excellent, Spirit-filled worship services for our youth rooms, services, and events.


Essential Functions:  Recruit, disciple, train, worship lead, and manage services and special events. Most specifically serving student ministries through High School.  This position requires a pastoral heart that functions to recruit, train, and disciple, the next generation of young worshippers (musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders). Must be fun and be committed to ‘create and maintain a productive environment where people want to come to work.’


Spiritual Growth and Development:  This position is expected to continue its Spiritual Development through conferences, necessary schooling, and mentoring. Support the overall vision of Worship and Creative Arts and ResLife Church.


Additional Functions:  Worship Leader and support for main adult services, Access/College Ministry, Special Services and Events, Conferences, Staff and Volunteer Events, Weddings, Funerals, Hospital Visits, Walk-ins, and Emergency Duty


Physical Requirements:  This position requires lifting of 10 to 50 lbs.  This position may require standing for long periods of time. 


Study, Knowledge, Skills and/or Professional Experience:


Experience Ministry degree preferred or at least 2 years of worship leading experience.


Musicianship Strong musicianship is desired by not required. Must be able to understand the roles of each instrument and communicate parts and technical aspects throughout the worship team are essential.

VocalsMust have a strong vocal ability to sing and direct vocal parts and harmonization

Songwriting – Experience in songwriting is desired.

Software – Efficiently able to navigate and utilize Planning Center Online, CCB, the ResLife intranet, and various office tools to maintain organization and communication. Must have the ability to navigate and utilize music software used in services.




Leadership Responsibility:


Pastoral role (if required) – Pastoring (Shepherding) the musicians, vocalists, and worship leaders who serve in our youth programs.

Recruiting – reaching out into the ResLife community (and abroad) to discover and recruit Christ centered worshippers who have the required skill(s) to participate on the worship teams

Discipleship – mentoring, creating programs, opportunities, and personal interactions designed to help continue development and growth spiritually, and provide accountability for those serving on the worship teams

Training – creating programs and opportunities designed to help continue development and growth practically for those serving on the worship teams including, but not limited to rehearsals, training sessions, tutorials, etc.

Organization – Maintaining efficient scheduling and rotations of teams through designing monthly calendars for worship teams, programs, and events. Maintain inventory of supplies for musicians and singers. Work with WCA admin staff to maintain clear communication throughout all Generation Rooms.
