Title: Worship Design and Technology Team Leader

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Required Credentials: College degree, worship leading experience

Compensation: Full time commensurate with experience, no benefits

Status: Full time 40-50 hours/week, exempt

Objective: Create passionate and meaningful worship experiences for all ages and with all ages in a varied team approach to ministry through music, arts, modern and traditional liturgy, media oversight, storage and production through the internet and face to face.

Expectations:

  • Strategize and implement with other staff members for church growth
  • Develop highly functioning teams around key objectives, i.e. welcoming, dynamic worship, etc.
  • Have a balanced life and a strong Christian witness
  • Ensure that everything is ready for services – graphics, arts, music, supplies, volunteers
  • At direction of Senior Pastor is available as needed
  • Creates a team budget each year with input from teams
  • Research future media needs, keeps equipment in excellent repair
  • Works with other staff members to provide worship experiences and tech for their ministries
  • Leads choirs and bells and creates other leaders for multiple musical and arts expressions
  • Engage in musical development for the mission of the church

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with an instrument and knowledge of current Christian music and traditional UM hymns
  • Acts as producer of all worship experiences through teams and in conference with Senior Pastor
  • Has step by step process for volunteers to enter into any team as well as step by step leadership plan
  • Guides worship planning system
