Job Description:

Community Bible Church is a small, warm, non-denominational, Bible-believing, discipleship oriented church in beautiful Ventura, California. We have programs for all ages, as well as intergenerational small group Bible studies which meet at various times throughout the week. We firmly believe in living out our faith on a daily basis, supporting and loving one another as we walk this path together.

Our services are casual with modern music and expressive worship. Most weeks we have a full rock band leading the congregation into the presence of God, creating a space where all feel welcome to worship expressively on their feet, or contemplatively in their seats. We usually worship through songs by Bethel Music, Hillsong, Phil Wickham, David Crowder and others.

The worship ministry currently has a volunteer team of 17 musicians, singers, sound technicians, and projectionists. The team has strong interpersonal relationships and pursues excellence in their crafts. It is a very healthy team for a new worship director to lead.

We are looking for someone to come lead worship through music on a weekly basis, lead and develop the volunteer teams, and guide the congregation into a deeper understanding and authentic participation of worship through music.

Please submit a cover letter, resume, references, and audio or video sample to bobdupar@cbcventura.org with the subject line “Worship Director Application”
