About Trinity Wesleyan Church

Trinity is on the edge of new growth. God is increasing our numbers and we can sense the growing momentum and excitement as we work hard to focus outward and reach our community. Our mission is to make disciples who make disciples. Our strategy is to reach our community with acts of kindness to show the love of God in a practical way, and to share our story with those we reach. We are committed to telling them what our lives were like before meeting Christ, how we met Christ, and how Christ has changed our lives. We are a church in transition. Our values and our leadership team are steady and stable, but we are in the process of change. We are strengthening our focus on children and families, and working to turn every ministry in the church to an outward focus. There is great excitement as God is clearly moving among us, but we also have our challenges as we help a traditional congregation transition.

Our Expectations

Because of the work God is doing among us, and the great potential ahead of us, we are seeking a worship pastor. This individual must be able to lead a dynamic, worship ministry.   The candidate should be gifted to lead musicians and the congregation into worship. They will need to be gifted vocally and play an instrument so they can know how to lead other instrumentalists. They will need to create worship settings with a variety of music expressions, including but not limited to traditional, gospel, modern, and contemporary musical genres. We are looking for someone who doesn’t just perform a song, but knows how to read the moving of the Holy Spirit and connect with the congregation, drawing them into the worship experience.     Because of that, they must have strong communication skills and be able to connect across a multi-generational congregation. Their responsibilities will include all adult worship experiences (leading them and training leaders to lead), overseeing our media presence; webpage, twitter, Facebook, snap chat, etc. This person will preferably have 3-5 year’s experience in a church of 200+.

Our staff Culture

Our Staff culture is shaped by three words: Discipleship, Relationship & Leadership.

Discipleship.

  • Discipleship is about reaching people for Christ, then teaching them to live in relationship with Jesus. We believe discipleship needs to be

Missional—working together to fulfill the mission of Jesus, which is to make disciples who make disciples.

Accountable—we lock arms together to help one another grow in our relationship with Christ

Reproducible—you are not a disciple until you make a disciple. This is a grassroots, multiplying movement

Communal—discipleship is not a class. It is a group of friends who do life together. Disciples are made one relationship at a time.

Scriptural—our lives are centered around the teaching of God from His Word

  • We expect every staff member to be involved in the discipleship journey, reaching those who do not know Christ and pouring into them to train them to do the same with others.

Relationship.

  • In order for a team to work well, we have to be in relationship together. That means we need to trust one another, laugh together, have fun, work hard and be involved in each other’s lives. We want the atmosphere in our office to be kind and cooperative, rather than competitive and driven. In fact, our team is people driven, rather than program driven. If you are going to be part of this team, there has to be a chemistry between yourself and the rest of the leadership team.

Leadership.

  • While we have a lot of fun, we also work hard. We are looking for a leader of leaders. We need someone who has the ability to connect and communicate well. The leader must be humble. We believe in strategic planning, but we balance that with spiritual sensitivity. We focus on goals and results, but always keep relationships a priority. We need someone who knows how to develop teams and delegate. They need a high level of commitment to the mission.
