Job Description:

The Video Technical Director is responsible for operation and maintenance of the broadcast video equipment as well as invest in and train new and current volunteers.


General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for video technical assets including, but not limited to maintaining inventory, purchases & new equipment installation
  • Maintenance of Sony Broadcast equipment (cameras, switchers & playback), record devices & cable management (terminating & running cables).
  • Operation of Camera Control Units including regular color calibrations ensuring we adhere to broadcast standards
  • Operation of video playback
  • Operate ProPresenter for miscellaneous rehearsals & services
  • Direct cameras & operate live video switcher for weekly & weekend services as needed
  • Operate cameras for weekly & weekend services as needed

Team Scheduling & Development:

  • Assist in scheduling video team for weekend & weekly services as well as special events
  • Help facilitate the recruitment of volunteers
  • Invest in current volunteers and extend their training and knowledge base
  • Lead in creating long term investment from new and existing volunteers
  • Oversee scheduling video team for weekend & weekly services as well as special events

  • The ability to work in a team environment, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take initiative
  • Ability to grow and train the camera & video team and communicating effectively to church pastors, staff & volunteers
  • Resolves technical issues with appropriate discretion and urgency
  • Works well with other staff and volunteers projecting a professional and positive attitude

Additional Duties:

  • Administrative duties as assigned
  • Attend & participate in weekly staff devotional
  • Prepare graphics for ProPresenter as needed


  • Previous experience in live video broadcast with an established skill set able to be used as a Video Technical Director
  • Working experience operating professional video equipment such as broadcast cameras, switchers & converters
  • Technical knowledge of IMAG, live streaming, projection and cable management
  • Experience operating Camera Control Units
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in live video production preferred
