About the Position:

The Director of Children’s Ministry will be responsible for ministry to children from birth through sixth grade, and corresponding ministry activities that bless their families and community. This position, reporting to the Executive Pastor, will oversee a ministry led by 300 volunteers serving 500 children in Sunday morning and midweek programs. This position will further strive to reach every family within its circle of influence, through the implementation of excellent weekend environments. The successful candidate will be able to provide and foster large and small group environments that engage children with biblical truth and nurturing relationships.

 

What We Are Searching For/Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of direct or related experience in children’s ministry is required.

The candidate will have had experience working as an effective leader of ministry teams, with the responsibility of providing vision for volunteers, and the ability to develop and monitor a vibrant, creative, and attractive children’s ministry that is equally focused on family-based discipleship.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire the confidence of volunteers and parents
  • Ability to manage a large team by vision-casting, recruiting, leadership development, delegating, inspiring, and training
  • Skilled in identifying, attracting, and recruiting new leaders
  • Experience in empowering people and leading teams of staff and volunteers
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with results-focused leadership
  • Effective communication and organization skills
  • Expertise in using technology in children’s ministry
