 (Ephesians 4:11-12)

Principle Function: The Pastor of Youth Discipleship Ministries will seek to live out the mission of NOEFC: Loving others to life in Jesus Christ by embracing the church’s core values. This person will oversee a well-balanced program for youth (6th – 12th grades) that will seek to win the lost to Christ and help those who are Christians to fuller maturity by teaching them principles of God’s Word and training them to serve under Christ’s leadership.

Lead and maintain a youth ministry of the highest caliber where young people are challenged to “grow up” in their faith.  Through worship, Sunday School classes, weekly youth meetings, small groups, social activities, and one-on-one mentoring our young people will see godliness lived out and be given the opportunity to serve the church and wider community.  This will be done through a team approach where the Pastor will organize and equip NOEFC’s membership to influence young people in their growth in Christ.
  2. Oversee and delineate a junior and senior high program.
  3. Be acquainted with the personal lives of young people and lead a team of volunteers with a similar heart.  For example, visit homes, attend school events, and be aware of current youth development and culture.
  4. Foster open and clear communication with parents/guardians.
  5. Foster an environment where the youth ministry is involved and part of the larger church.
  6. Oversee and develop regular mission trips including fundraising.
  7. Work with the entire NOEFC staff and Board of Elders attending necessary meetings and coordinating the church calendar.
  8. Preach and do pastoral visitation as requested by the Senior Pastor.
  9. Other duties may be assigned as needed by the Senior Pastor.
