Job Description:

Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church Communications Department is looking to hire a personable and hard-working graphic designer to handle all the creative design, brand development and digital management for the church. This full-time, entry-level position reports to the Communications Director and is responsible for the design work of church-wide and ministry messaging and promotions. Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and/or equivalent on-the-job training

- Proven expertise for Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects)

- Technically-minded for MAC-based computer products, web interfaces, production suite software

- Website development experience (Wordpress experience beneficial)

- Social Media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

- Membership of and regular attendance to OMPC

Responsibilities 

1) Creative Design

- Design and produce inspiring collateral for ministry events and promotions that reflect the needs of the ministry and that are consistent with the vision and brand of OMPC

- Design, format and produce weekly publications, Sunday morning slides, digital graphics and external promotions

- Creatively turn ideas into designs based on the vision of our church for outreach promotion, story-telling and brand identity development  

- Interface with the printer and other vendors to ensure timely and quality printing of collateral 

 

2) Brand Development

- Develop the OMPC brand under the direction of the Communications Director to establish typeface, color usage, and necessary sub-branding within the church

- Produce the OMPC Brand Standards and Guidelines document for the church to use in brand protection

- Work to develop the brand presence within the church and around the greater Birmingham community

 

3) Digital Management

- Manage all online communications platforms including the Website, social media accounts and the OMPC App 

- Keep online platforms up-to-date and reflective of internal church-wide communications
