Job Description:

Do you feel called to lead and build into youth in a new, dynamic and growing church? Do you want to work with a great team bringing the extraordinary life of Jesus Christ to a lost and broken world? Foundations Church is looking for a Youth Worship Intern who is responsible for all aspects of the worship experience in the Middle School, High School, and College Environments. This includes service planning/execution, volunteer recruitment and development, and operational management necessary to ensure successful and constantly improving weekly youth services, and periodic weekend services.

 

The position requires executing a ministry game plan in a large context with weekly bands and 200 students in average attendance across multiple services. The applicant should have a good understanding of current trends in Next Gen & Student ministry and experience for a large church setting, be able to lead team paid staff including the possibility of overseeing staff at additional church campuses in the future.

Position Description

The Youth Worship Intern must be an enthusiastic Christ-centered team player that is capable of leading and directing the Student Ministry Worship Experiences in a large and growing, fast paced church in Northern Colorado. This person must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills. They should be a self-starter, emotionally intelligent, and humble. They must have a proven track record of successful leadership of worship teams. They must be equipped with a working knowledge of service planning, program management, and communication.

Worship Director

 

Description of duties

  • Coordinate weekly worship environments for MIX (Middle School), merge (High School), and Ascent (Young Adult)
  • Build, maintain and lead volunteer teams inside each environment
  • Direct all weekly rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in each service
  • Meet regularly with volunteers/students in and outside of weekly worship environments
  • Attend and provide input at regular meetings for Staff.
  • Coordinate with other Foundations ministries and staff as needed.
  • Executes regular spiritual development for youth worship volunteers; helping to create a growing team.

 

Training and resources

-       Attend workshops, conferences, or formal education to increase knowledge and awareness as it pertains to Worship Ministries.

-       Attend workshops, conferences or other continuing education in order build highly effective volunteers.

-       Musically Proficient in vocals and either guitar or keys

-       Ability to read and produce chord charts

-       Patience in musical collaboration with student musicians

-       Skill in utilizing various software
