About this Position: We are looking for a spiritually mature and strong project manager with gifts in administration to serve as our Executive Project Manager to our Lead Pastor.


This person will ensure the Lead Pastor and Executive Team are accomplishing responsibilities that advance church goals while facilitating the movement of people and alignment of projects to support the vision of Hill Country Bible Church.


About the person who will serve in this role:

  • They will have gifts of administration with the ability to create and execute project management processes that move ideas, information and projects to clear, deliverable outcomes.
  • They will have passion and experience in identifying and engaging volunteers, raising up lay leaders
  • They have experience providing executive administrative support (or similar)
  • The ideal candidate will have strong relational and communication skills, proficient technical skills and is a self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • A vibrant walk with Christ is must – someone who is growing as a worshiper, witness, servant and disciple maker
  • Experience and proven ability managing projects, people and initiatives is required.

Some of what this person will do:

  • Become an expert in the vision and priorities of HCBC and of our core ministries; understand the ministry rhythms of a multi-site congregation and community
  • Meet regularly with our Lead Pastor and Executive Team; take notes, listen well and ask questions in order to capture important information, priorities, projects and desired outcomes; document objectives and timelines
  • Determine next steps and create project management processes that move goals/objectives to clear, deliverable outcomes
  • Ensure the Lead Pastor is accomplishing responsibilities and has margins in his calendar to do so
  • Oversee, lead and own special projects as assigned by Lead Pastor and Executive Team
  • Participate in the Sermon preparing process including research, outline prep, technical support and maintenance of sermon archives 
  • Spend time with people; help them take next steps in their spiritual journey. Understand the ministries and ministry leaders of HCBC in order to point people in the right direction
  • Recruit volunteers and develop leaders; regularly identify, develop, deploy and coach existing and new leaders
  • Manage the public email and social media accounts of our Lead Pastor; respond to people (internal and external) in a timely manner and with excellent customer service
  • Serve as an active member of our staff team, engage in church-wide initiatives, participate in worship and serving opportunities for our church and community
