Outreach & Groups Coordinator

 

FOCUS AND SCOPE

The role of the Outreach & Groups Coordinator (OGC) is to oversee and execute tactical details in support of the outreach and groups vision at Grace Place.  This will require a firm grasp on the beliefs, values, and strategy of Grace Place and the ability to align key leadership teams with that mission.  Working with the Pastor of Connections to establish an effective strategy, the OGC will serve as front-line leadership for both small groups and community outreach initiatives (serving and attraction).

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Small Groups
  • Oversee group leader identification and recruitment
  • Select and implement small group curriculum
  • Oversee system for training group leaders and coaches
  • Maintain groups database
  • Coordinate communications strategy with Communications department 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain “on ramps”, ensuring easy access to group life
  • Outreach - Serve
  • Maintain database of community service partners & opportunities
  • Arrange monthly small-scale serving opportunities within Northern Colorado
  • Assist in planning and executing (2) annual large-scale, church-wide serve events
  • Assist Pastor of Connections in maintaining strong connection to the greater community
  • Coordinate communications strategy with Communications department
  • Outreach - Attraction
  • Work with staff & Directional Team to identify 2-3 annual high-impact “attraction” events
  • Oversee teams to plan and execute “attraction” events
  • Develop and maintain system for tracking event metrics
  • Coordinate marketing strategy with Communications department

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A heart for the local church and a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Organized, able to manage multiple projects in a fast turnaround environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer/software competency
  • Accuracy and attention to minor details
  • Proven ability to take projects from concept to completion
  • Action and solution oriented
  • Able to maintain a high level of trust and confidentiality 

 

Salary range:  $25,000 - $35,000

Schedule:  Sunday - Thursday, some weekends/evenings

Average Hours/Week:  40

Status:  Full-time, non-exempt

Benefits:  Paid time off

Location:  Grace Place - Berthoud, CO

Reports to:  Pastor of Connections
