About Us: We are one church in multiple locations with a vision that every man, woman and child in Greater Austin would have multiple opportunities to see, hear and respond to the good news of the gospel.

 

By God’s grace we have planted 25 churches and have seen thousands of lives changed as we live on mission in the beautiful community of northwest Austin.

 

About this Position: We are looking for a relationally strong and experienced disciple maker with a passion for students and adults, to join our staff team.

 

This person will work closely with our Student Ministry Pastor and will lead the discipleship, leadership development and small groups charge in Student Ministry (students, volunteers, staff and lay leadership) as we develop fully formed followers of Christ – people who receive their identity from Jesus and model their life after His.

 

This is a full-time position with great benefits.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has passion and gifting of shepherd/disciple maker with proven ability to disciple quip, empower, develop and partner with leaders, parents, students and adults
  • Is relationally strong, a solid communicator (ability to inspire, cast vision and build trust) and proven “leader of leaders”
  • Is growing as a fully formed follower of Christ -  identified as a worshiper, witness, servant and disciple maker
  • Has a minimum of 3+ years in full time ministry with focus in Discipleship, Small Groups, and/or Student Ministry

Some of what this person will do:

  • Work closely with the Student Ministry Pastor (Central Campus) and all Student Ministry Pastors in accomplishing the vision to reach students and adults with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ
  • Commit to our church goals and lead the charge in Student Ministry (students and adults) for:
  • Discipleship – more and more students and adults are growing as fully formed followers of Christ and making disciples who make disciples
  • Leadership Development – leaders are led well; owning the process and pipeline as you and your team identify, develop and deploy current and new leaders
  • Small Groups – students are connecting and experiencing life-change in small group community; parents and volunteers have the tools, training and support they need to lead effectively.
  • Develop a volunteer leadership team that is growing in their faith as well as in impact and influence– guide and unleash them for greater ownership of the ministry
  • Meet regularly with people – pray with and for them, shepherd them, model our philosophy of ministry (who are you; where are you at spiritually, and how can I help you take a next step?)
  • Serve as contributing member of the overall staff team of Hill Country Bible Church at the pastoral level.
