Summary

We are looking for a full-time AVL Technician (Audio/Video/Lighting) to work as part of our dynamic Worship Arts team.

You Must Be:

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Forward thinker, always considering innovation
  • Organized and efficient with time
  • Not easily rattled by surprises
  • Detail-oriented

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Running Front of House audio with digital audio consoles
  • Knowledge of creative lighting
  • Experience with PC and Mac computers
  • Experience with ProPresenter (or similar)
  • Video Editing (Final Cut or Adobe Premiere)

You Need to Have:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines 
  • Strong teamworking with various staff ministries, organizations and volunteers
  • Ablity to physically lift up to 50 LBS or more

You Get to:

  • Configure AVL on campus venues for Sunday services and events
  • Coordinate volunteers using Planning Center Online (PCO)
  • Be the primary sound engineer for the Latino/Spanish service
  • Support Thursday evening band rehearsals
  • Work with the Worship Arts team to maintain AV equipment for all venues
  • Configure, setup and teardown venue stages based on band requirements
  • Assist the Technical Director with equipping and leading volunteers
  • Coordinate media elements (videos, backgrounds, and lyrics displayed)
  • Create and edit slides for worship presentation software (ProPresenter)
  • Create lighting cues for the worship gatherings
  • Record and edit video for weekly video announcements
  • Support events as needed (training, weddings, funerals, church wide events)

You Move to the Front of the Line if:

  • You have skills in all three areas including Audio, Video, and Lighting
  • You are local to the Charlotte area
