POSITION SUMMARY:

Create and design creative elements for weekend services and ministry events, including video production, graphic design, website maintenance and tech arts. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Video Production

  1. *Brainstorm with Programming Team to create supportive videos for weekend services, special events, and other ministries.
  2. * Set-up, conduct and film video shoots alongside Programming Director for videos that will support the weekend service, teachings, and special events.
  3. *Edit footage into final video.   
  4. *Create supportive videos such as service countdowns, turn and greet videos and series bumpers.
  5. * Edit weekend teachings and upload to Vimeo. 

Graphic Design

  1. *Brand sermon series look and supporting material.
  2. *Create weekend announcements slides and teaching slides.
  3. *Design supporting print material. (ie. Growth Group questions layout, newspaper ads, social media graphics, t-shirts, etc.)
  4. *Write, design, print, and prepare the weekend bulletin to include information about the weekend service, ministry opportunities and other events weekly.

Website Maintenance

  1. * Write and maintain updates of ministry opportunities and other events and post on the website and the Heartland app.
  2. * Update Growth Group questions weekly.
  3. * Update homepage with events and new series.
  4. * Social media updates.

 

Tech Team Leader

  1. * Recruit new volunteers by being the first contact to volunteers requesting information or showing an interest in serving on the Tech Team.
  2. * Program ProPresenter with needed lyrics, backgrounds, videos, announcement slides and teaching slides.
  3. * Remain proficient on production and technical equipment in the Auditorium and Control Room, in order to effectively give direction and offer training to volunteers.
  4. * Communicate service order and special production needs to appropriate tech team members, including sound, lighting, and stage crews, as needed.  
  5. * Ensure that technical equipment required for this position is operating properly at any particular time or event. Contact appropriate individuals in the event of faulty equipment.
  6. * Have a working knowledge of technical equipment in the building and able to troubleshoot if needed.

Other Duties

  1. * Actively participate in regular staff meeting and programming meeting, providing suggestions, ideas and concerns for consideration. 
  2. *Attend all special events as directed by Lead Pastor.
