Synopsis of Role


To lead New River Fellowship, abiding by Singular Headship/ Plural Leadership design. To shepherd the New River body with a spirit led heart, desiring transparency and accountability, while advancing the vision and values of the organization as confirmed by the Board of Elders. To provide spiritual oversight of the organization, ministries, and personnel of New River Fellowship. Average work week: Should not exceed 50 hours.


Principal Responsibilities


 To provide spiritual leadership of the church and Elder Board

 To lead in the vision and direction of the church
 To oversee the Associate Pastors and provide input to the associate staff on a timely basis

 To be involved in strategic leadership mentoring of staff and emerging leaders

 To represent New River Fellowship through strategic contacts, as God opens the opportunity, in a way that does not compromise job responsibilities at New River Fellowship

 Deliver to New River Fellowship Church 40 – 44 weeks of messages

 Actively seek and retain relationships with Senior Pastors in other community churches

 Actively seek new converts to the faith, attendees, and members
