Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant, Data Entry, IT Support person will provide data maintenance and administrative support for Orchard Church; identify and resolve technical problems; and have a detailed knowledge of commonly used business applications, administrative concepts and practices.

 

The successful candidate will be organized, detail-conscious, systematic, thorough, outgoing, inspiring, optimistic, and tactful.

 

Duties include (but are not limited to):


Interact with staff to answer questions and solve problems. Work in conjunction with staff on data management to create forms and reports, and to maintain church databases. Communicate with vendors as necessary to resolve problems.

  • Administer and manage the church’s check-in systems. Maintain churchgoer database and ministry team accuracy. Ensure smooth check-in of children on Sundays.
  • Install, modify, support and maintain ministry hardware and software. Review, document and update operating procedures.
  • Develop plans to better improve tasks (department and church).
  • Mobile systems configuration and maintenance
  • Operating systems installation, set/up/configuration, maintenance and deployment
  • Use technology systems and processes to track progress of projects and tasks.
  • Maintain appropriate skill levels by on the job learning, peer mentoring, third party training and company sponsored training.
  • Provide administrative support to other church staff as needed (expense tracking; data input; creating memos, spreadsheets, and other requested documents).
  • Maintain the church calendar and contact database.
  • Act as front office receptionist: welcome guests, answer phones, schedule appointments, offer refreshments, perform some office cleaning.
  • Provide ministry support as requested: room setup, prepare for meetings (documents, refreshments, supplies, note-taking)

Education / Experience Requirements:


2 years of hands-on experience in MIS/IT; installation and maintenance of systems. Experience with data input and management; business software and hardware support required.

Autonomous proficiency with common business software applications (such as MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, and Adobe Acrobat)

Associates Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.

Starting pay $15 an hour with full-time potential.
