Job Title: Event Technician/Audio Specialist

Department:  Technical Ministries

Reports to:  Steve Simmons (Technical Director)

Technical Ministries-Who We Are

We are a department of 6 skilled technicians who exist to support the 280 ministries that call Perimeter Church home. At times this support comes in the form of staffing events with highly skilled production personnel; at other times support is manifested through the design, installation and integration of technical systems for use by ministries directly.



As a member of this larger team you will provide event support for the 2,300 events utilizing techology each year.


Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. Provide oversight and managment to all audio systems. 
  2. Mange/oversee/coordinate stage setups for all “Tech Level A and B” events as well as off-site events and retreats.
  3. Perform weekly trainings as needed with laity and staff who will be running tech for “Tech Level C” events.
  4. Support all campus events on Sunday mornings.
  5. Fill in for vacationing/sick weekend worship audio contractors as directed.
  6. Train and support volunteer development initiatives using the following strategies:
    1. Work with Tech Team and Worship and Arts (WAA) to develop and maintain standardized training curriculum for volunteers.
    2. Host in-house seminars as needed.
    3. Recurring one-on-one training sessions with key adult volunteers as well as Senior High and Junior high students.
  7. Manage the firmware and software updates for all audio systems and the related Dante components.
  8. As liaison to WAA, heavily support weekend worship services in all 3 venues but with highest focus in the Sanctuary.

-2+ years experience mixing live sound

-Proficient in the following:

-MS Office


-IP based networks

-Familiarity with Yamaha mixing consoles (preferred but not required).


-Able to push road cases and move monitors

-Comfortable with heights
