Job Description:

As part of our Technical Team at The Ark Church (located in Conroe, Texas), you will participate in planning, set-up, operation and maintenance of audio, video, and lighting equipment for Sunday and Wednesday worship services, outreaches, and special events.  This position will have a strong emphasis on Producing Services and Events.

 

The Production Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing all of the live production, events, and services of the various Ministries of The Ark Church with emphasis on excellence and maintaining the core standards set by The Ark Church.  This includes managing event scheduling and ensuring that all events are staffed as needed.

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree (Required)

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in live events production (Church & Corporate Prefered)

  • Recently worked for a Church, Rental house, or Production company
  • Working knowledge of both Mac and Windows Operating Systems

  • Able to edit audio and video using the Adobe Suite of products

  • Demonstrate proficiency with driving a scissor and articulating boom lift’s

  • Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, saws, welder, plasma cutter

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with each dept to plan and produce services, special events, and outreaches

  • Ensures that volunteers and staff are scheduled for all services and events

  • Assist other departments with production needs throughout the Ark Church

  • Attend weekly planning meetings, debrief meetings, and any other meetings as necessary

  • Manages campus readiness, this includes:

    • Maintaining technical inventories and keeping front of house areas clean and neat

    • Suggesting and informing the Technical Director of any technical needs

    • Ensuring that system and equipment failures are reported, replaced, and repaired in a timely and efficient manner

    • Maintain backstage and stage areas, ensuring they are clean and ready for service

  • Consults with other departments and assists them in training of volunteers on a/v/l equipment

  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

  • Be a part of a vibrant, creative, and fun production team
  • Required to work all services, Christmas and Easter as well as other events outside normal hours
  • Work week is Sunday - Thursday

  • Wear a two-way radio with a surveillance kit and wireless comm - when needed

  • Be able to lift 50lbs, stand on your feet for lengths of time
