Job Description:

Austin Christian Fellowship (ACF) is a multi-site church with five communities throughout the Greater Austin area. We are an others-centered church that embraces the privilege and responsibility of taking the Gospel to our community and to the nations. We partner with other churches and non-profit organizations – worshiping, praying, and working together so that others come to faith in Jesus Christ.  We are also a next-generation church, believing that the best way to impact our city is to fill its future with bright, Godly, capable leaders. Our Four Points campus is the first and largest ACF community, and we are currently filling the position of Student Ministry Pastor.

The Student Ministry Pastor leads students (6th-12th grade) in our church and community to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. The Student Ministry Pastor will bring fresh energy, vision, and strategies to our student ministry. He/she will build upon a solid ministry foundation of 125-150 students who attend weekend worship services, a vibrant student small-group ministry, special events and camps that draw 2-3x our weekend attendance averages, and 2 regional and 2 international mission trips. Our current student ministry staff consists of 1 full-time and 2 part-time members who report to the Student Ministry Pastor as well as 40 adult volunteer leaders. Because we minister in a fast-growing community and school system, we have tremendous opportunity to impact students and families, and we are excited for our next Student Ministry Pastor to lead and grow us in our ministry to them.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Is above reproach in character and inspires this in others;
  • Has a solid understanding of God’s Word and is able to communicate the Gospel in a variety of settings;
  • Is a relational leader who has the ability to build and lead teams;
  • Is a self-starting hard worker who pursues excellence in ministry and has fun while doing it.

To be successful, our ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years significant leadership experience in a ministry setting, preferably including oversight of multiple paid staff and/or volunteers;
  • A demonstrated personal and professional commitment to prayer, worship, community involvement, and missions;
  • A track record of living, serving, and leading in community.
