Job Description:

Kensington Church is a (13,000) person, gospel-centered movement at eight locations.  We operate as one-team, one-fight.   This Birmingham Campus location has an average weekend attendance of around 1000 people.

Position Description:

This person is responsible to see high school & middle school students transformed and mobilized by Jesus at our Birmingham Campus.

 

Character:

Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God, live in community with those in the Body of Christ and extend the love of God to those seeking Him.  Show a strong commitment to living out Kensington’s values in his/her Christian life.

 

Qualifications:

  • Competence:  Undergraduate degree in related field preferred. Training in Leadership and management helpful. Proven ability to lead and develop leaders, build      teams, and cast vision for a high impact church.
  • Chemistry: Has an affinity with Kensington Leadership and vision.  
  • Character: Teachability, humility, moral/ethical integrity, the desire to grow spiritually.
  • Calling: Expresses and has confirmation of a desire and call to lead in full time ministry at KCC.
  • Requirements:   Affirmation of the mission, values and beliefs of Kensington.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Main communicator for Edge (High School)  and Breakaway (Middle School).

  • Train and Develop New Communicators.
  • Develop series and content for Edge and Breakaway

Program the large group gathering for Edge and Breakaway.

  • Lead process for creating an attractional gathering for Breakaway and Edge including environment and program that attracts the seeker and brings growth to the already devoted follower of Christ.

Lead Student Ministries Staff.

  • Lead weekly team meetings.
  • Establish DR’s with all Student staff.
  • Engage in staff development.
  • Performance evaluations and alignment.
  • Oversight of Edge and Breakaway budgets.
  • Build community between Edge and Breakaway staff

Oversee and lead ministry planning and vision

  • Align with KCC Central Students
  • Implement KCC vision within the Student Ministries.
  • Attend weekly KCC central meetings for Edge & Breakaway.

Develop meaningful relationships with students, leaders, parents and attenders at KCC Birmingham.

Serve on the Birmingham Campus Directional Team.

Assist the Campus Director and Lead Pastor with campus wide projects, events, services as needed.
