LIFEGATE Church is looking for a full-time KidsLife Director.
 
We are an energetic congregation that meets in the Denver Tech Center. We started meeting in 2015 and have grown quickly, especially recently in our KidsLife attendance. Our volunteer team has done a great job keeping up with the growth, but we feel like the Lord is calling us to hire a full-time KidsLife Director (infant-6th grade).
 
Our vision is to see people be MADE ALIVE in Christ. We talk about it all the time, it's what motivates us to do anything. And this hire is no different... We are looking for a qualified and experienced person who is eager to recruit, train, and retain a team to accomplish this vision (in both kids and their parents).

KidsLife Director (Full-Time) // Position Description

Summary Description

The KidsLife Director is responsible for providing overall leadership and shepherding to children, parents, volunteers and staff involved in KidsLife, all in an effort toward the overall vision of LIFEGATE. Our church’s culture is centered around effective team building (recruiting, training, and retaining); the KidsLife Director is responsible for building and maintaining this culture in KidsLife. This position reports directly to the Campus Pastor.  


Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Sunday Mornings- Ensuring all aspects of Sunday mornings are executed with excellence: including prepping lessons, activities, crafts, worship, security, cleanliness, set up/tear down. All of this is done while creating a welcoming, enjoyable, and exciting environment for children and parents.

Family and Community Engagement- Creating and organizing family events, family resources, community connection, and family follow-up (new & existing).

Volunteers- Leading all aspects of recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers: including scheduling, discipleship, shepherding, delegation, creating a tiered-leadership model, and celebration (overall team/leadership development).

Curriculum- Choosing or writing curriculum (that could tie into what parents are being taught in the Worship Service), staying up-to-date on what is trending and resources available, and making sure that parents have material that can help them teach their kids throughout the week.

Operational- Maintaining and creating policies/procedures, scheduling and delivering volunteer training sessions, purchasing supplies, attending staff meetings, creating and maintaining KidsLife budget.

Strategic- Planning for midweek KidsLife programming, large events and critical days (such as Easter and Christmas), planning for growth, ensuring alignment with what is happening in the rest of LIFEGATE.

Vision- Supporting the mission, vision, and goals of LIFEGATE.  

 

Position Qualifications

This person will first and foremost have a genuine and growing love for the Lord and His people. He or she would ideally have 3-5 years of experience and proven track record in leading a dynamic children’s ministry. This individual should have Spiritual Gifts that align with effectiveness in teaching, leadership, shepherding, and administration.
