STATUS: Full-time
SALARY: Salary + benefits (Depending on Experience)



Red Hills Church is a thriving and dynamic church in the college town of Newberg, Oregon. Our average attendance is between 600-700 people with 200 students coming from George Fox University. The mission of our church is to inspire people to know Jesus. We desire to introduce people to Jesus through our entire region and county by planting future campuses. Red Hills Church is looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to provide oversight, direction, and structure to students (middle school, high school & college). This position will also collaborate with our children’s ministry director. Therefore, helping steward an overall vision for the next generation at Red Hills Church.


  • Lead all aspects of weekly student ministry programming for grades 6-12.
  • Be the primary communicator and leader for the youth gatherings.
  • Recruit, train and release a team of volunteers (especially small group leaders) to help lead and disciple students.
  • Organize and plan youth services and special events.
  • Invest relationally in students and parents.
  • Lead and manage FUSION - a program designed to connect university students to families in our community.
  • Partner with the Children's Ministry Director in creating an overall discipleship strategy for the next generation.



  • Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ evidenced in lifestyle, personal relationships, commitment to the church and work ethic.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in ministry or related field with a minimum of three years experience in the ministry focus area of this position.
  • Demonstrate spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for leadership.
  • Spiritual gifts in the area of preaching/teaching and leading/administration. Strong communication skills is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills that reach across generational barriers.
  • Ability to multitask a broad range of projects and assignments and meet due dates in a timely fashion.
  • Desire to work closely with a team in helping fulfill the overall vision of Red Hills Church. At times this means working with the entire church staff on executing church-­wide events (e.g. Easter, Christmas Eve. etc).

  • Be reliable, take initiative, and be self-motivated.
  • Embrace and adopt to growth, change, innovation and creativity
  • Use appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Have a cooperative, healthy and motivating relationship with supervisors, department team members, co-workers and volunteers.
  • Stay current with youth culture.
  • If married, have the full support of spouse within their ministry.
  • Faithfully give tithes and offering in the manner of 2 Corinthians 9.
