Job Description:

The Middle School Student Ministries Pastor will develop and lead teams of adult volunteers who will lead and care for students and student leaders. Essentially Harvest Church is looking for a strong and dynamic leader who can minister to kids through adult student ministry leaders and volunteers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new members. The Middle High Student Ministries Pastor is also the primary communicator for the weekly Student Ministry Program. Teaching/Communication, Leadership, Administration would be desired primary gifts.


Additional experience and skills should include:

  • Three years or more youth ministry experience in a growing youth ministry of at least 150 students.
  • Experience managing others
  • A strong walk with God through a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • teachable, with a desire to grow in their faith and abilities
  • Team Player (no silos)
  • Has a passion for reaching disenfranchised students
  • Understands youth culture today
  • Connects with students and is a catalyst for their discipleship
  • A good role model (purity)
  • Effective relational skills (works well with others)

Harvest has two campuses in the Billings area and combines student ministries into more of a city-wide ministry approach. Students attending Harvest Church are a unique mix of kids who have grown up in the church and a large majority of kids who are far from God. The Middle School Student Ministries Pastor must create environments where unchurched students can explore and check out faith while also equipping core kids to be on mission while they continue to grow in faith and purpose.

$50,000-$70,000 yearly.


This full-time position also includes medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as a 403(b) retirement plan. On-site childcare is available and on-site preschool is offered at a discount.
