Job Description:

The Assembly at Broken Arrow is searching for our next Student Ministries Pastor

About the Position:

The Student Ministries Pastor serves as the primary leader and communicator of student ministries (MPACT) at The Assembly at Broken Arrow. While all ministries at The Assembly function within the framework of the larger church vision, the Student Ministries Pastor will seek to creatively implement that vision in a relevant and effective manner within the Student Ministry.

The student ministry is currently made up of about 150 students: 75 middle schoolers and 75 high schoolers. The current programming structure of The Assembly’s student ministry includes a weekly Wednesday night student experience (worship, teaching, and connection), a Sunday morning group at 9AM, and Sunday night small groups (during school year) in homes throughout the community.  Each summer our students participate in local and global missions trips coordinated by the Student Ministries Pastor. Finally, the student leadership program (Mpact Student Leadership Program) prepares High School Juniors and Seniors to serve as student leaders.

The student pastor will also have a strong connection to its high school (Summit Christian Academy) coordinating a weekly chapel service (225+ students) and connecting in student life activities.

The Student Ministries Pastor reports directly to the Ministries Director (Executive Pastor).  The Student Ministries Pastor is provided a full-time administrative assistant. There are approximately 25 adult sponsors who serve in the student ministry. The Student Ministries Pastor also collaborates with the creative team (a team which provides leadership for worship, video, audio, and lighting for student ministry experiences).

This position will ultimately be responsible for casting vision for the future of the Student Ministries with a focus on raising up student leaders to become fervent disciples of Christ.
