Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

Deer Creek Church (350 adults, 100 children) is a thirty-year old, evangelical congregation that has caught its second wind.  An evangelical, PCA church, Deer Creek is 15 miles southwest of Denver and just minutes from the Rocky Mountains. DCC features a predominantly young staff and a very modern worship style.  It is a fun place that is serious about outreach and spiritual formation.

Deer Creek desires a Worship Pastor who is a change agent: a visionary leader who will take its worship, arts, and technical teams to greater levels of impact.

Qualifications:  strong recruiting, team development, and follow-through history; well-developed vocal and guitar skills; working knowledge of all rhythm section instruments.  Facility with charts, lead sheets, musical notation, and transposition (changing song keys from original versions when necessary).

As an evangelical Presbyterian congregation, Deer Creek Church occasionally re-frames common classic worship elements (hymns, creeds, prayers, confessions, etc.) in the context of its modern worship setting.  A top candidate would demonstrate both the creative skill and motivation for reframing the old into the new.  DCC is a "gently reformed" congregation.  Ideally, a candidate will have an affinity with basic reformed theology or at least a curiosity to learn more.

Personality and leadership qualities desired: collaborative, visionary, relational, adaptive, innovative, self-starting, and strategic.

Competitive salary/benefits offered.

To Apply: Send resume, personality test results (Myers Briggs, Strengthsfinders, or DISC), and video clips (audio run through mixer please) to Sally Morgenthaler, New Day Coaching and Staffing:
