Job Description:

Center Point Church is a growing church located in the heart of the Metroplex in North Richland Hills Texas. We are a casual, contemporary, Christian Church that exists to help people discover and live a God-centered life. Our church is racially, ethnically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse, just like our community. We are a church that strives to love people of all ages and help them find and follow Jesus, but we unapologetically look to be a place where families will find Jesus and serve their community. Meeting the needs of families with young children is essential to our strategy.

 

Center Point Church is seeking a Pastor of Worship Arts. This is a full-time, exempt position. The ideal candidate will have formal musical training and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in leading worship by guitar or keyboard. Candidates must be able to provide video (preferred) or audio of themselves leading worship. Please provide this with your application/resume. Below are the detailed responsibilities and job expectations.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Live out and promote the staff values as outlined in the CPC Staff Handbook
  2. Partner with the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor of Ministry in the creation of the Big Idea and oversee the creation and facilitation of the musical and creative arts execution in the Sunday morning worship experience.
  3. Create and execute special worship art events that propel meaningful and lasting momentum for the worship ministry as well as facilitate the church’s five purposes.
  4. Assemble, equip, and lead creative and technical teams to execute programming.
  5. Oversee and equip all worship staff.
  6. Oversee, develop, and maintain the musical and technical equipment of the worship ministry to execute its purposes.
  7. Create, develop, and administrate church-wide communications to congregants and the community.
  8. Create, develop and administrate the worship ministry budget.

  1. Partner with the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor of Ministry in the creation of the Big Idea and oversee the creation and facilitation of the musical and creative arts execution in the Sunday morning worship experience.
    1. Contribute to the Big Idea brainstorming sessions.
    2. Keep an organized flow chart of the Big Idea schedule and the various components to be implemented in the Sunday morning worship experience.
    3. Oversee the creation, development, and execution of musical presentations, technical components, dramas, and ordinances associated with the Sunday morning worship experience that inspire and further the purposes of the church. 
  1. Create and execute special worship art events that propel meaningful and lasting momentum for the worship ministry as well as facilitate the church’s five purposes.
    1. Oversee and facilitate worship and performance concerts.
    2. Oversee and facilitate creative, worship art performances as needed for church-wide outreach events.  
  1. Assemble, equip, and lead creative and technical teams to execute programming.
    1. Assemble, equip, and facilitate technical arts teams in the areas of sound, lighting, photography, graphics, PowerPoint, video, etc.
    2. Lead and facilitate a creative arts team to help implement worship series components.
    3. Lead and facilitate a worship leadership team to help facilitate day to day and weekly worship team operations. 
  1. Oversee and equip all worship staff.
    1. Oversee and manage all paid worship staff which includes music, arts, media, and communications.
    2. Lead and facilitate worship staff meetings and retreats.
    3. Work to develop the spiritual leadership, managerial, and professional skills of all worship staff.
    4. Assist the Executive Pastor of Ministry in overseeing and facilitating the hiring and firing of worship personnel.
    5. Oversee and facilitate yearly staff performance evaluations.
    6.  Work with Executive Pastor of Ministry in the ongoing development of the worship staff structure and alignment. 
  1. Oversee, develop, and maintain the musical and technical equipment of the worship ministry to execute its purposes.
    1. Purchase equipment that will develop and carry out the purposes of the worship ministry.
    2. Schedule and facilitate the execution of routine maintenance of worship arts equipment.
    3. Ensure that volunteers are adequately trained on the equipment.  
  1. Create, develop, and administrate church-wide communications to congregants and the community.
    1. Create, develop, and implement a process for managing church-wide communications and its ministries.
    2. Create church-wide momentum through communications for the Big Idea, church movements, and church-wide goals.
    3. Oversee the administration of various church-wide communication media of email, print, Facebook, Twitter, etc.  
  1. Create, develop and administrate the worship ministry budget.
    1. Create the worship ministry budget according to the needs and vision of the worship ministry
    2. Show financial stewardship by executing ministry within the worship ministry budget.
