Job Description:

The Minister for Children, Youth and Family Formation will lead and support the overall Christian faith formation of children, youth and families in the Episcopal tradition. The Minister will establish a Family Ministry Council and incorporate it into the planning of family ministries. S/he will not only oversee the programmatic needs, and the advocacy for families within the church, but will engage with the clergy team in the care of families and the development of liturgies and practices that impact them.  


Responsibilities include:


  • Execute all aspects of CYF as needed, including the supervision and training of childcare staff to insure excellence and best practices as it relates to Safe Church.
  • Provide support as needed to our 6-12 graders thru Sunday school programs and other activities throughout the year.
  • Develop curriculum for the children’s chapel service on Sundays; work with and assist as needed with the youth acolytes; lead weekly chapel instruction for the Preschool
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required


  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience, preferably in the Episcopal church.
  • Diplomatic, ethical and responsible with the highest level of integrity.
  • Genuine passion for our mission, and for our families.
  • Knowledge and ability to create, execute and / or support the goals as it relates to the church.
  • Relates well with others, builds effective relationships, communicates effectively both interpersonally and corporately
  • Organized, focused, and able to successfully manage multiple projects; attention to detail, creative thinker and highly productive
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
