Job Description:

 

POSITION
The Video Coordinator will help fulfill the mission of LowCountry Community Church(LCC) through video storytelling. This position is a fusion of technical skills and creative ability and includes all aspects of video production from concept to screening. The video coordinator will work as a member of the communications/creative staff and will also interface regularly with the worship and production arts team, volunteers, staff, and other ministry representatives. Position may turn into full time. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Video Production:

  • Develop content and provide creative direction for video projects in collaboration with the Communications Director
  • Oversee and cast vision for the telling of stories of life change via video
  • Plan, direct, shoot, and produce video content for weekend services, under the direction of the Communications Director and Worship Pastor.
  • Respect and protect the confidentiality of individuals – especially when interviewees reveal sensitive information not intended to be shared with the public

Content  / Asset Management:

  • Perform high-quality, detailed work with minimum supervision under deadlines.
  • Maintain story section of our website with help from communications staff. 
  • Maintain sermon and series section of website with help from communications staff.
Administrative:
  • Acquire appropriate releases and copyright licensing for all projects.
  • Participate in monthly all staff meetings and other meetings when necessary.
  • Invite, recruit, and equip volunteers to support the production of creative content for utilization across ministry areas.
  • Maintain digital media archive of footage and completed projects.
  • Maintain and manage media production equipment and meet departmental budget expectations. 
Qualifications:
  • Testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and a heart for the local church
  • Demonstrated ability to direct live video and provide oversight to a team of volunteers
  • Experience and training in studio and field production (Lighting, audio, and camera work)
  • Capability to perform various tasks related to post-production (Editing and motion graphics)
  • A sense of humor and ability not to take him/herself too seriously.
  • A team player that thrives in a collaborative team environment, exemplifies a positive “can do” attitude and fosters an attitude of professional excellence.
  • Proven ability to take projects from beginning to end (Concept to production to final edit)
  • Ability to give attention to detail while also maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture

Desired Skills:

Senior in college or have completed college degree in video, broadcast, or film production with a minimum of three years experience. Consideration will be given to candidates with experience and demonstrated proficiency in the field.

  • Video pre-production, production and post-production
  • Scriptwriting, storyboards, outlines
  • Sound recording and editing
  • Motion graphics, color correction
  • Sound design and soundtrack research
  • Graphic design
  • Cultural awareness
  • Storytelling expertise
  • Adept in Adobe CC including: Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Encoder, Audition, FinalCut Pro

  • Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM-12:30 PM
