Job Description:


The Media Systems Technician (MST) will work under the direction and leadership of the Technical Director (TD). This position requires general proficiency across the three main disciplines of the technical arts (Audio/Video/Lighting), with an emphasis on live audio production and technical systems. Primary responsibilities consist of maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of technical systems, designing and implementing new systems and solution providing leadership in one of Mobberly’s auxiliary venues on Sunday mornings. The MST, along with the TD, shares the responsibility of recruiting, training, and working alongside volunteers in Mobberly’s Media Ministry. This is a full time position.


  1. Must be a follower of Jesus Christ
  2. Minimum High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  3. Experience and applied knowledge of general AVL systems.
  4. Familiar with both Mac and PC operating systems, SMAART, Q-SYS or other control automation systems and workflows. Basic understanding of NLEs and DAWs a plus.
  5. Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking, digital audio protocols (Dante, MADI, QLAN, etc.), lighting protocols (DMX, Art-Net, sACN), timecode protocols and workflows.
  6. General knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and management of a wide variety of multi-media equipment including audio consoles, theatrical lighting, projection, and digital video systems. Yamaha CL and QL experience a plus.
  7. Experience with IMAG/Broadcast systems; familiarity with presentation systems (Switchers, ProPresenter, etc); familiarity with professional lighting for performance and video; experience with MA and Vista lighting platforms a plus.
  8. Understanding of large production workflows/stage directions/vernacular.
  9. Exhibits analytical problem solving and excellent communication skills.




  • Provides leadership and oversite to Sunday services, in assigned venue.
  • Assists the TD with recruitment, training, assignment and leading of Media volunteers, as assigned.
  • Serves in any technical area needed during weekend services.
  • Maintains and updates AVL systems throughout campus.
  • Assists with diagnosis, benchmarking, and the development of solutions for necessary changes, upgrades, and improvements to technical systems.
  • Provides support for events, ministry-wide, as needed
  • Keeps up with technological developments through self-education and lifelong learning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
