We are looking for a relational and energetic young person to come and lead our teens.  We are striving to help families and young people experience the best life ever through Christ (John 10:10b)!  We have recently expanded our youth leadership team and have huge potential to creatively reach young people in our church as well as in our community.  We’re looking for a godly shepherd of teens to help us take the next step!



Help teens become followers of Jesus Christ. 

Give oversight to all youth ministries middle school to college. 

Work to communicate with church and community via technology, social media, and videos.

Specific Duties

* Hands on leading of teens (6th-12th grade)

* Spend time with and disciple young people

* Organize monthly youth events

* Be primary teacher of the youth group

* Develop the talents of the teens so they’re involved in their own youth group as well as in the overall ministry of the church

* Develop and support team of adults to assist in youth ministries

* Develop and support Media Team

* Communicate with the church regarding youth ministry via the bulletin, Facebook, Twitter, website, etc.

* Integrate into the public schools (i.e. show up for lunch, work with FCA)

* Reach out to the teens in our community 

* Attend staff meetings

* Involve yourself in Wednesday night ministries

* Lead a small group

* Make video segments to plug our ministries when the needs arise 

* Help the church to become more media savvy by finding clips for sermon illustrations and the general edification of the church family as needed 



* Regularly attend church services including our Wednesday night services

* Abstain from alcohol

* Dress neatly

* Come to events designed for fellowship such as picnics and the work day

* Maintain office hours throughout the week.  We understand a youth pastor will be out with the teens but in the morning we typically start off at the office together

* Be accountable to the team by weekly submitting hours and work accomplished

* Attend weekly staff meeting

* Visit (we encourage all pastors to do some visiting/shepherding)
