Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:   The Associate Pastor - Spanish Ministries pastors the people of Victory En Espanol, preaches in the services and plans events for the church.

 

Key Results Area               Description


Church Services/Events    Serve as Pastor - leading, preaching, teaching and facilitation of pastoral care of Spanish ministry                                                members.  Oversee all services and special events of the Spanish Ministry

 

Pastoral                              Function as an organizational elder of Victory Church   Being a pastoral team member forming                                                    various pastoral functions within Victory Church, which may fall outside of Spanish ministry.
                                           Leadership and Lay Ministry training of Spanish ministries  

 

Practical Support               Attend services each week - if working in the ministry, attend one service weekly w/Pastor David                                                 preaching.   Attend weekly staff meetings, as well as other designated meetings.  Pray and care for                                             team members and fellow staff members.

  • Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, attitude and behavior;
  • To commit to the vision, values and statement of faith of Victory Church;
  • Devote the whole of your time, attention and skill during normal business hours, and at other times as reasonably necessary, to your duties;
  • To commit and be loyal to the leadership of Victory Church, and be able to work in a team environment;
  • Posses the ability to embrace innovation and creativity while adapting to growth and change;
  • Possess the ability to use appropriate judgement, discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality - at all times acting to a high standard of professional behavior;
  • Possess and develop leadership skills using a cooperative, collaborative team leadership style;
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills in working with team members, supervisors and volunteers - having the spiritual maturity to be forgiving, non-judgmental, but yet assertive;
  • Not be engaged or concerned or interested in another business or occupation without  prior written consent of the Senior Pastor;
  • Have initiative;
  • Be confidential in all matter pertaining to Victory Church, in public and private;
  • Be able to meet deadlines;
  • Be able to communicate effectively with team and staff members, as well as the congregation and general public;
  • Faithfully tithe and support Victory Church and its ministries;
  • Achieve results and perform other duties as instructed by Senior Pastor

 

Ongoing Vision:

Victory Church has a great vision and will continue to grow and expand.  Anyone accepting a staff role must understand that “ongoing change” will always be a part of this church, and they must be flexible, open to challenge and willing to move and grow with that ongoing vision.
