To partner with our current staff/team in order to fulfill Connection Church’s vision of reaching 10,000 people across multiple campuses, who are giving generously with 80% serving and in community. 

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.


Education Requirements – Minimum College Diploma


Qualifications and Expectations

  • Profess and demonstrate a passionate and deep faith in Jesus Christ
  • Have a heart to see people connected to a growing relationship with Jesus!
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Teachable, self motivated and able to work independently and efficiently
  • Great interpersonal communication abilities
  • 5+ years experience in discipleship role desired
  • Commitment to personal spiritual growth and healthy lifestyle
  • Model standards and expectations of leaders within Connection Church including:
    1. Member of Connection Church and attending regularly
    2. Tithing 10%
    3. Participation in a Connect Group
    4. Satisfactory completion of felony statement/background check


Primary Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Director of Ministries
  • Develop and execute the vision for Adult and College Discipleship 
  • Monitor the culture of community throughout Connection Church and create ways to advance culture as needed
  • Develop, train, and oversee Connect Groups, Connect Group leaders, and Connect Group Coaches at the Statesboro Campus.
  • Create and develop curriculum and training content (working closely with Campus Discipleship Pastors) for Connect Groups, Heart and Soul and any other discipleship class.
  • Develop and coordinate weekly content for Connect Groups in Statesboro.
  • Oversee and teach Heart and Soul and other discipleship related classes in Statesboro.
  • Develop and execute specific discipleship programs and events to encourage spiritual growth.
  • Work with Campus Discipleship Pastors on ensuring the vision and implementation is consistent.
  • Monitor budget for all purchases related to discipleship.
  • Ensure congregation is getting in groups, growing in groups, and multiplying groups.
