Stonehill Church is a growing Church located in Meridian, Idaho. Meridian is one of the fastest growing communities in America.  Our church was planted 11 months ago and now is averageing over 750 people on a Sunday.  We are looking for someone who will take our High School Ministry to the next level!


Primary Purpose

 

The High School Director will strive to build young disciples for Christ by developing and implementing a comprehensive 9th -12th youth ministry program while serving as a spiritual leader and role model. They will act as the direct leader of High School Ministry and oversight for Middle School Ministry.  This leadership includes helping cast vision and direction, while evaluating and improving all elements of these ministries on an ongoing basis.  A crucial part of this role will include recruiting, training and encouraging volunteer youth leaders from the Stonehill congregation.    

 

Specific List of Responsibilities

 

  • Establish and champion a godly vision for student ministries at Stonehill.
  • Oversee and lead all major aspects of High School Ministry, which include but are not limited to:
  • Facilitating weekly student environments for high school ministry.
  • Direct and guide middle school ministry paid staff and volunteers.
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate Biblical messages.
  • Create relevant environments, activities, and programming that will facilitate learning, God honoring relationships, and encourage spiritual growth.
  • Plan and coordinate major Student Ministry events throughout the year.
  • Attend and recruit students and leaders to attend Summer Camp for both Middle School and High School camps. 
  • Design and nurture a healthy volunteer culture within student ministries.
  • Collaborate with the team of paid staff and volunteers in creating and planning everything in regards to student ministries.
  • Communicate consistently and completely with the volunteer leaders; teach and share SH mission with volunteers to “Grow with God and Go with God so that others may Know God”
  • Be a leader of leaders.  Allow, teach, and empower leaders to lead.
  • Build and maintain relationships with students both churched and unchurched.
  • Meet regularly with students.
  • Look for opportunities to befriend, hangout, and disciple in a relational way with students at church, sporting events, in the community, etc.
  • Build a strategy for reaching and assimilating new students and families.
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with parents.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication with parents.
  • Build relationships with parents.
  • Encourage and help resource parents to disciple their students
  • Involve students in the ministry of the church in serving, discipling, and using their gifts.
  • Work with the Stonehill Staff team in leading the church as a whole.
  • As a Stonehill staff member, we all facilitate other tasks that minister to the entire church.

  • Spiritual gift mix of some or all of the following: Leadership, administration, and passion for students, parents, and volunteers at Stonehill.
  • Ability to develop and lead teams of volunteers. Be a leader of leaders, not just a doer.
  • Ability to self-start, highly motivated.
  • Be an engaging communicator.
  • Ability to be a team player and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to function within a team structure and work independently on individual tasks.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work with other Stonehill team staff members to coordinate and execute projects.

  • Promotes a positive attitude and working environment.

 

Qualifications


Education:    Bachelors degree preferred

Experience:  Needs to have at least 2 years of Full-time experience in youth ministry or equivalent.

Licenses:       None required
