Job Description:

Hope Christian Center is a church that was launched in 2003 with 9 people; today we are blessed to have more than 500 attending in two locations.  The vision of Hope Christian Center is to develop disciples that develop disciples to change the world.

 

Position Summary

 

Hope Christian Center is seeking a full-time Church Administrator who will create, develop and oversee systems to ensure the healthy functioning of the Church and all its ministries. 

 

This position will be expected to provide leadership and support on all aspects of church business operations to include but not limited to; Events Planning, Facilities Maintenance, Human Resources, Finance, Ministry Support and contract negotiations.  This position will also enforce systems necessary for Hope Christian Center to expand in its multisite vision.

 

This position will supervise 4-5 direct reports and report to the Senior Pastor.

 

Primary Responsibilities  

  1. To create, develop and oversee systems for Church to function at its optimal capacity.
  2. Oversee staff in managing and monitoring real property, transportation, building maintenance (interior and exterior), building renovations security and inventory.
  3. Oversee and manage Church spending in accordance with yearly Budget.
  4. Oversee the execution of projects and events approved by Senior leadership.
  5. Conduct strategic planning to maximize ministry opportunities. 
  6. Function as the leader of the day to day functioning of the church
  7. Develop a plan to grow the staff of the church.
  8. Conduct yearly performance evaluation of direct reports.
  9. Plan, develop and monitor strategic programs to support staff and church
  10. Provide strategic thinking and planning with senior leadership in all areas
  11. Ensure policies and procedures of the church comply with federal and state laws.
  12. Function as Secretary for Elder Council (Board of Trustees)
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management

 

Additionally, the Church Administrator must fulfill the following expectations:

 

  1. Personal Life – The Church Administrator must be a growing born again Christian believer as evidence by developing as a Disciple while also developing others into Disciples.
  •  They must have a strong relationship with God, as evidenced by a healthy devotional life and moral lifestyle.
  •  They must have a strong family life, as evidenced by the quality of the relationship with their spouse, their relationship with their children and their ability to effectively manage their finances.
  •  Must be accountable for your social media presence. Must maintain proper boundaries for how it is used and that it represents Hope Christian Center in the best light at all times.       
  1. Church Commitment – The Church Administrator must be an example of the type of Disciple of Jesus that we want to develop at Hope Christian Center.
  • They must attend weekly services, be a current member and financially support Hope Christian Center.
  • They must fully engage in Hope Christian Center ’s process – Turning to God (Worship) Growing in God (Teaching), and Partnering with God (Serving)
  • They must unreservedly hold to Hope Christian Center’s statement of beliefs.
  • They must practice Hope Christian Center’s approach to ministry.
  • They must embody Hope Christian Center’s culture.
  • They must be loyal to God the Senior Leadership and the members of Hope Christian Center.

 

  1. Leadership – The Church Administrator must be someone that excels as an action-oriented leader. 
  •  They should be able to select, align and lead leaders toward a preset vision.
  •  Selecting is the process of picking the right people.
  • Aligning is the process of putting people in the right spot.
  • Leading is the process of directing, motivating, developing others to achieve the vision.  

Education and/or Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management as well as some Theological education preferred.
  • Must have 4 years of proven experience in providing leadership and developing teams in a growing organization.
  • Ability to motivate and engage employees to foster a healthy work environment.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record in effective problem solving and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze data prepare concise summaries to senior leadership.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, editing and verbal communication skills; strong ability to organize and present systems in an accessible manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with Fellowship One or similar church database.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must subscribe to the Matt 18 principle for dealing with conflict.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and other tests
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications as Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Must be a strong fit for this position with respect to character, commitment, culture, connection, competence and creativity
