Denominations: Baptist --SBC
Church Size: 351 to 500
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

The Worship Pastor will serve under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and will be responsible for leading the musical programs of the church, all for the goal of glorifying Jesus Christ and making disciples through music and worship.  The position also includes other pastoral duties, such as leading Scriptural devotionals, visiting members and prospects, sharing the gospel, providing pastoral care, and being involved in the community.

FBC Sebring has historically been blessed with a strong worship ministry that has included choir, orchestra, a praise band, and multiple special events combined with other churches and public school chorale groups.  Our worship style is deliberately blended, seeking to model mutual biblical submission among the generations.  We believe that worship is about Christ, not our individual tastes, so we intentionally utilize theologically-faithful music that appeals to both older and younger generations.  Applicants should be able to lead a choir or praise band.  Applicants should be team-oriented and enjoy close relationships with other pastors in a fun, family-oriented, and encouraging work environment.  Applicants should be organized and strong leaders, but teachable and humble.  Experience with technology such as video production, websites, live streaming (we currently stream both audio and video of services), and sound/lighting are desirable preferences for this position.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; preference toward music and/or theology degree(s)

Experience: 10 years of ministry experience preferred

Character: Mature, growing Christian with the desire to pour and invest into the lives of others
