Job Description:

About the Organization:

Hillside Fellowship birthed in 1993, through four families that met as a small group of a local church in San Antonio. The church grew by twenty families within four years, which compelled the church to hire a full time to shepherd the people. Despite the many leadership transitions that occurred in years following, the church steadily grew and sustained its momentum.

Today, Hillside Fellowship is a thriving and growing multigenerational congregation of 1500 in Sunday morning attendance who steadily attend each weekend. The church DNA carries a suburban feel with many attending from the areas of North San Antonio and New Braunfels. To this end, Hillside is uniquely regional. It has a heart for building a strategic small group ministry that seeks to disciple believers and draw in the unchurched in a larger capacity. Led by the dominant core value of 'grace' above all else, Hillside Fellowship has an exponential vision to maximize the impact of the church through multisites, which will begin launching in 2018-2019.

About the Location:

San Antonio–New Braunfels is an eight-county metropolitan area in the State of Texas. It is the third-largest metro area in state, after Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land. With over 1-million population, it is also the second fastest-growing large metropolitan area in the state.

San Antonio, a modern city with a distinct Hispanic influence, is the third largest city in Texas and has grown to become the seventh largest in the United States. Most of the downtown area is attractive, with modern skyscrapers intermingled with historic sites (including the Alamo and the Spanish Governors Palace). The Paseo del Rio, or River Walk, contains shops and sidewalk cafes along the San Antonio River, and downtown entertainment is lively.

Although the city has a laid-back character, there is a substantial business community that includes the headquarters of SBC Communications (AT&T), Valero Energy, Tesoro Petroleum (oil and gas), Clear Channel Communications and a strong banking and financial presence. Future job growth projections are strong. The South Texas Medical Center is one of the largest in the state, with a substantial medical and biotech research component.

Four nearby air force facilities bring a strong military presence. The city has a full complement of museums and cultural assets, sports teams (notably the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs), transportation facilities, and entertainment venues. These advantages are accompanied by a strong economy, low cost of living, and a favorable winter climate.
