Job Description:


Bringing energy, strategy and momentum, the Discipleship Pastor must possess a natural ability to build teams and develop leaders. We are looking for a passionate individual who is excited about living on the Lakeshore of West Michigan and is ready to make a difference for Jesus.



 • Managing day-to-day operations of all pastoral care ministries.  These include Missional Communities, First Impression Team, Celebrate Recovery, Discipleship and Membership Classes, and local and global Missions.


• Leading Missional Communities to make disciples devoted to the Word, community, and mission. This person will be responsible for recruitment, care and training of MC leaders, multiplication and ongoing evaluation of MC’s, and leading initiatives that mobilize MC’s on mission.


• Leading the First Impressions Team in moving first-time guests to becoming fully developing members.  This includes follow-up to first-time guests and next step decisions, new believer follow-up and care, leading people to take the step of baptism and then to become a part of a Missional Community.


• Requires the ability to lead teams effectively, to raise up new leaders at a rapid rate and to communicate/teach in a variety of settings. 


• The ability to teach on Sundays (6-12 times a year), host from stage (welcome, anouncments, etc.), and lead classes.  Requires a commitment to grow and develop as a communicator as a part of the Teaching Team.


• Organizational and administrative skills are a must.  If the typo in the previous paragraph didn’t bother you, there is no reason to apply.


• Must be extremely hard-working and bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the table.
