Summary

The Creative Director has overall responsibility for leading the creative process to develop the overall brand, development of the website, and production of videos, graphics, bumpers, and other creative elements for Sunday services, promotions, and the website. A key strength needs to be the ability to develop and manage others, as the Creative Director will lead teams of people to perform these functions.

 

Responsibilities

Ownership and development of brand

  1. Create and maintain brand style guide. Keep the brand current to appeal to the target demographic.

  2. Develop the website to incorporate new branding and consistency throughout. Goals of the website include consistent branding and language and functionality.

Produce video and graphic elements

  1. Support the development of creative design and production elements for weekend services and special events.

  2. Work with the Production Director and Broadcast Director to create an excellent video broadcast experience across all locations.

  3. Create and produce graphics and videos for weekend services, social media, promotions, and other events.

  4. Create graphics for signs, print materials, and announcements.

Manage Volunteer Teams

  1. Provide needed training to develop the Video Team and volunteer photographers as artists who can effectively create excellent video production quality.

  2. Work with Social Media Director to provide content/images.

  3. Provide resources and pre-production strategies needed for video shoots (cameras, lighting, lenses, audio equipment, etc)

  4. Responsible for the process to recruit, train, and schedule creative team volunteers.

    1. Provide strong leadership and creative and technical oversight for volunteers.

    2. Recruit volunteers (there are also church-wide initiatives to recruit volunteers).

    3. Champion the culture of Epic Church with team members and others.

Manage Equipment

  1. Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and operation of all equipment utilized by the Creative teams.

  2. Develop detailed knowledge of operation and integration of all equipment.

  3. Assess current and future technology needs and create acquisition strategies.

  4. Put measures in place to ensure that equipment and supplies are secured against damage, loss, or theft.

  5. Establish and maintain an inventory of equipment across all locations.

Requirements


Applicant should have experience in the following areas:

  1. Experience in video directing, shooting, producing, and editing.
  2. Self-motivated, strong creative drive with attention to details.
  3. Should be able to multi-task and deal with pressures of multiple strict deadlines and last-minute direction changes.
  4. The ability to work collaboratively with a creative team.
  5. Experience with programs such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
