About the church and community:

Victory is a family-oriented church that values authenticity, serving and the presence of God.  We desire to make change happen in our community and in the world.  Our ministries are designed for people of all ages from birth to senior adults.  Our church is multi-ethnic and strives to be cross-generational.  Victory is in Universal City which is a suburb of San Antonio.  Due to the proximity of Randolph Air Force Base, as well as two other military bases, we have a strong presence of military families.

 

About the position:

The Youth Pastor will directly oversee the youth ministry of Victory. The Youth Pastor will lead a student ministries team in developing passionate disciples of Christ within the framework of discipleship at Victory.  While all ministries of the church function within the larger church vision, the Youth Pastor will seek to creatively implement that vision in a manner relevant to and effective with students. It is our desire to see the students of Victory fully engaged in growth, service and ministry within the student ministry as well as within the church and community.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal prospect will have a passionate calling to work with students.  They will strive to partner with parents as they pastor students.  They will exhibit a life full of the love of God and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.  This individual will have acquired 2 years of experience in a related ministry field at a church of 200+. This individual will have a degree from a Bible college or have participated in Chi Alpha at a secular college.  They will be credentialed with the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
