Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church is a congregation of 800 that is seeking a full-time associate pastor for congregational care, including managing Cedar Crest’s already thriving small group program (LIFEgroups).  Cedar Crest is particularly interested in considering candidates with a proven track record in pastoral care, counseling, and managing teams of volunteers.  Special consideration will also be given to those with teaching and leader training experience.  All candidates should be in alignment with the Bible Fellowship Church denomination’s doctrine.  Further, candidates must possess strong organizational skills, be current with small group curriculum and models, have strong relational and interpersonal skills, and have an outgoing and approachable personality.

Essential qualities:

  • Ordination credentials with the Bible Fellowship Church denomination, or possessing qualifications for ministry as listed in the Bible Fellowship Church articles of faith. 
  • Experience in regular pastoral counseling; counseling credentials or certification preferred
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Experienced and energetic to build and manage team, and be a team player
  • Emotional and relational intelligence; warm and relational

Preferred experience:

  • Minimum three years of biblical/theological studies (Master’s level education preferred)
  • Minimum three years of pastoral experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills and effectiveness in preaching/teaching.
